• Verizon Communications Inc. Outside Plant Engineer Employee/Retiree with 30

years’ experience in the Telecommunications industry.

• Followed engineering guidelines, policy directives and utilizing multiple

databases to prepare estimates and engineering work orders for customer demand

and relief in the outside plant network.

• Responsible for High-Capacity circuit design in outside plant for multiple Central

offices within the Verizon footprint in Northern Virginia.

• Responsible for tracking, monitoring and assisting construction and other

departments for timely completion of engineering work orders.

• 10 years Fiber Optic Spicing and electronics experience.

• Experienced in engineering wireless sites.

• Presently working on the CAFF2 project for upgrading telecommunication

• Experience with Verizon Communications Inc.in Outside Plant Engineering, fiber

optic placing and terminations. Electronics associated with fiber optics.

• Experienced with Lucent and Fujitsu fiber optic multiplexers. i.e. OC192, OC48,

• OC12, OC3’s Fuji 4500, 4300, 4200 and 4100’s.

• Experienced in Wireless outside plant engineering, engineering fiber optics,

structure and electronics to cell sites for customer requirements.

• Experienced in turning up power systems with Nortel and Telect equipment.

• Experienced in building and engineering relay rack and frames with Hendry and

Newton products.

• Experienced in Power Engineering for outside plant, i.e. controlled environmental

vaults, (CEV) 80 Cabinets, Litespan cabinets.

• Experienced in Sonet engineering for outside plant telecommunications.

• Experienced and have access to data bases such as LFACS, Aardwolf, TIRKS,

Verizon data bases for high capacity circuitry, orders and copper facilities.

• Experienced in CADS and other Verizon system data bases such as Peoplesoft,

Picsnet, Locquest and Capacity creation, Oracle Project Management, ICGS,

IDDS, BDMS.

• Experienced in Sonet Fiber design, Digital loop carrier design and HDSL design.

• Experienced in private and government customer negotiations and coordination

with regards to outside plant engineering matters, including permit applications,

right of ways, equipment placement, customer needs and requirements.

• Experienced in reading and drawing plats and working with planning department.
